Each print is carefully prepared to ensure that the image that so captured Mary Louise's eye captivates yours for many years to come. Our images are printed using state-of-the-art techniques to ensure a consistently high quality print. Mary Louise's original transparencies are drum scanned and prints are created using a LightJet 5000 laser enlarger, widely recognized as the highest caliber digital printer available today for photographic prints. Each print is made by exposing conventional photographic material with a set of lasers. Eliminating the optical degradation and light fall-off common in traditional enlargers, the LightJet 5000 process delivers exceptional sharpness and vibrant colors that are faithful to the original scene. Mary Louise's paper of choice is Fuji Crystal Archive photographic paper, which experts consider to be the most stable silver halide color paper available today. Independent testing labs (Wilhelm Imaging Research Inc.) suggest that under normal display conditions this paper will last at least 60 years before any noticeable fading or color shift occurs. All prints are signed by the artist and matted using acid-free archival materials to assure longevity. Mary Louise offers most of her prints as open editions and an elite selection as limited edition prints. Limited edition prints are numbered to indicate their placement in the edition. The edition size indicates the total number of photographs that will be printed of the image in addition to artist proofs. The size of an edition may vary from image to image, and is indicated on each print next to the edition number. After all of the numbers in a limited edition are sold, the image is retired and will never again be printed as a photograph.
Many of Mary Louise's images are available in single image or assorted note card sets. Each note card set contains 8 cards with matching envelopes. Cards display our attractive and tasteful images on the cover with a blank interior for your personal message. A perfect choice as a gift or for yourself, these cards are suitable for any occasion.
